Send SIS file to phone via internet

I can't download a file via WAP, but have a copy on PC (away from home - so don't have BT or IR). Is there a way that I can "email" or send the file to my phone so it comes as an SMS message?

Yes - set up a POP3 email account on your phone and mail it as an attachment.

What is the file - I may be able to upload it to our WAP site for you to download it from there.

I was hoping that there is a way without me connecting with POP3. Is it possible to send it using a free SMS service without going via the email route?

When stuff is sent via SMS you are only sent a WAP address you can't add an attachement. You then connect to the WAP address and collect the software (or ringtone, logo etc) directly from the WAP site.
