May have read my messege, can anyone share me with his experience or provide an answer
The phone signal strength ways heavily on your provider. I get better reception with my P800 then my T68i with the same provider at the exact same location. That would lead to me to believe that I do get better reception with the P800. With that said, your assessment would be blind if you don't have a ground floor to start on. So, you will get varied answers about this topic. Do some hard core testing on your area and start with your provider.
I also find reception better on the P800 than with the Nokia 8890 I was using, especially in low signal strength areas like underground bars.
There was another thread on this a while back, and IIRC the general feeling was that the P800 is good compared to other units.
If you find that your phone is really bad, it would imply a fault and you should take it back.
Well the P800 isn't really good, but isn't really bad either. Some phones have better reception (like most Samsung phones and the Nokia 7210/6610), and some a lot worse (for example the SE T68i, nokia 8310/6510/88x0).
I'm pretty satisfied with it...

The clarity and reception of my P800 must be the best I've had on any mobile phone to date - and I've had them all!!
People often ask me if I'm phoning from a land line - that says a lot.
I believe this has been discussed in a previous thread before. Anyway i find my P800 signal to be very good. I currently use 2 fones, this and my Nokia 7650. Both using the same subscriber. I have often found that the P800 signal is often more powerful as compared to the Nokia in any given location 😊
Yes totally agree with you. It's also very clear when using the speaker phone too!!! 8)

My P800 has better reception compare to my T68 previously owned. My wife using Nokia 8850 and same subscriber has about the same reception.
my reception is definately worse in general with p800 than 7650.
and often during the call the person i am calling will go through 10 seconds in the middle of the call when they can hardly hear me....
I have tested my P800 with MiniGPS application ( Very good to test the signal level).
I moved around the home the signal was ranging betwwen 0 , 15% and 30%, I found that I connect via three cells depending on the Location.
All the three cells are week.
I have shared the info with the provider, they promissed to try to improove.
But with my 8Th grade son mobile Nokia 6610 for the same provider the signal bar at home is between full bar and 50% , no problem at all.
A little bit off track from this thread, what's this version of the minigps do? Is it like nokia version, becoz S.E P800 does not have Profile unlike the nokia phones.. so what kind of "profile" does this one do?
