backlight

Hi All. Anyone figure out (perhaps with 3rd party program) how to increase the backlight delay. I hate the way it times out so fast, and would like to increase it by a few seconds (variably).

For any developers out there, would this be an easy fix?

thanks,

- Frank

I have TORCH. Maybe I am ignorant--and you wouldn't be the first to say I am--but how does Torch keep the back light display on for a few seconds longer everytime it comes on. I thought Torch was only something you could use as a light on your display--so whne the rom is dark or outside is dark you can use it as a Torch. How can you configure it to keep the backlight on for let's say 20 seconds everytime before it goes out? Thanks

I, instead, need some prog or utility to keep backlight turned off, even if your using the phone and pressing buttons. I noticed that with direct sunlight (for example playing a game at the beach) you can't really tell if the light is on or off, and maybe keeping it off would help spare precious battery energy.

please tell me if I am missing something but doesn't Torch when you open the application only give you a lit up blank white screen with an exit option on the bottom right hand corner? I agree it is good--when you are in a dark room and need to find something or are outside fumbling in the dark with your car keys, but does it do anything else? if yes, please let us know how. Thanks

-Get torch installed on your phone.
-Open the "torch" application.
-Press the menu button (the one to go to menu , from the stand by screen) without exiting the "torch".
-SAY A MAGIC WORDS!!! (IMPORTANT)
-And now your 3650/7650 has a backlight that never turn off (until you exit the "torch" :P
now that's good. i didn't think it would work using fexplorer, which it did not.
FExplorer works fine for me to keep the backlight on. You can't close FExplorer until you're done with the backlight (just leave it running in the background).

Didnt the original poster ask for keeping the light *DELAY* on for a bit longer, not just leave the light on indefinite amount of time????

if you are using torch then just close it after you are done....works fine with me.....better than having a longer delay..... 😃
