I used to use a Siemens with a built in MP3 player. Also had an MMC. Great phone but got too old. Now have the 3650. Best phone yet. Only no MP3 player. What is the best solution for me? I have tried converting/encoding MP3 files using Helix Producer Basic so they become Real Media files. However, it seems the 3650 does not support Real Media 9.0 files (whihc evidently Helix Producer Basic encodes to. What are some other ideas to listen to music on the 3650. I want good sound quality with a reasonable amount of files. I have a 128 mb MMC. Thanks in advance.

Well, as N3650 has mono output, you won't be getting 'good' sound quality...

Any way to get around the mono situation?
The "mono" is a hardware issue,so try taking your phono appart and replacing some circuits,it just might do the trick.
Otherwise,the answer is no 😊
I know the "mono" issue is an issue. I was however wondering thought whether a firnware upgrade could solve it. If you had thought through your answer before you dumped on what you wrongly believed was an ignorant question you would have realized that a firmware upgrade could possible solve it. Sorry for offending you in my previous post. I will ensure that future questions are at your level of brilliance.
Well peter,just to clarify,a firmware is just a bunch of apps and device drivers,and updating the firmware would mean more of the same bunch of apps and device drivers or fixes/updates for the same.I don't believe a firmware upgrade involves soldering electronic circuits on to the board so your possibility of a future firmware upgrade solving the mono issue,which is not an issue at all is actually not a possibility at all.

The 3650 is not really good for playing mp3's... so, I don't suggest you fill up your MMC with those mp3 songs and pay a bunch on those players. This is just my opinion 😊
