Hey Guys,
Just wanted to see if anyone knew for a fact whether the Sony Memory Stick Duo 256 actually exists (or will exist in the near future)? I have seen pictures of it but I am very very sceptical. Sony is no help, still waiting from an email from them to either confirm or deny.
But the big question is, if it did exist, would the P800 be compatible with it? I have read nothing in the specs of the phone that limits the amount of memory that it can utilize.
So if anyone does know, please let us all know... :-?
Thanks...
Rumour I guess. Perhaps in the future, but not for now. Besides the P800 is limited to 128MB (for now, perhaps that will change in a future firmware version as well)
Thanks Delta, but where did you find the information in regards to the P800 currently being limited to only 128Mb??? 😉
... in the user manual... :-?
Ciauuu
I've heard in an other forum that it was a hardware limitation.
No-one knows for sure, but I think that is doubtfull....(perhaps a hardware limitation of the Mem Stick Duo, not of the P800)
As I've mentioned on a previous post SE seem to have plans for larger MS Duo's. See pg 13 of below pdf document;

If anyone has any other comments!
Ahh good stuff viperno7, a shame that the white paper only mentions -
"Memory Stick Duo: Currently up to 128MB, but will most likely increase."
Just dont like the words 'most likely' but I have faith that SE will deliver 😉
