I dropped mine several times, but luckilly it's been in a case on each occasion. And coincidently each time I have dropped it is when I wanted to use the phone. Which is why I recommend each member use a partial enclosure case that will allow access to the phone. The original OEM case is garbage and requires one to remove the phone from the case before use. However, there are several cases discussed on this forum that keeps it protected at all times during usage.
After having had my first SE P800 stolen from under my nose, I have hooked on one of those neck straps to the phone so it doesn't easlly fall out of my short pocket or slip out of my trouser pocket (I have it strapped to my trouser belt loop). I am not sure if it will fall off my hand as I tend to believe that I have a good grip on the strap and phone. In my past two-year history with the Nokia 9210 communicator, I have dropped the phone twice, once on a marble floor while trying to seat myself on a high chair and another on the road while trying to board my 4WD vehicle. But it has not fallen off my desk which my P800 nearly did on five ocassions. Unlike the P800, the commnuicator has 4 anti-slip rubber pads to prevent it slipping from smooth surfaces onto the floor. The bare P800 is a smoothie on all its sides and can easily slip off the table if you nudge other things on your busy tabletop. So why not a leather case strapped to the waist, you ask? I have a slim waist and it looks bulky. And if its put into the trouser pocket, it will bulge and put to shame my manhood.

Mae West (almost)
😉 .
Brilliant but I think the sexy Mae West would be more impressed if it were my Nokia Communicator 9210 in the trouser pocket.
Hehehe nice one ghazalie 😊 Anyway i have dropped my P800 on two occasions. Both on my rooms wooden floor. Good thing it survived both without any incident. But i believe we should be careful with our device. What with its large lcd screen. It would indeed be prone to cracks
