How can i update data?
Can i download data to PC and send to 7650 via BT
If i have to download directly via WAP, what's is address (ex: weather, currency, map...)

That's the beauty of it... go to the weather screen, for example, and choose 'Update Weather' from the options menu and that's it! I will automatically connect and the data for you.

Give it a ride!

It's actually very good if you need that sort of thing. The only problem I had with it was that after exiting it would run in the background (it's quite large tho it gets nice & small compressed), and that a surprising number of major cities were missing off the weather list (eg Athens, Mexico City...)

I mention that since I beta-ed it, and did not get any feedback on these issues, so I don't know if they are/will be incorporated in the new versions

But all the same, give it a try!

Paul

actually, just found out that the "always running in the background" issue is if you have any form of automatic weather/exchange rate update configured 😊

Can i download data to PC and send to 7650 via BT

I have this question because in my country the cost to access to network from phone very expensive so i hope access to internet from PC to saving money

i cant update anything, weather or currency. it connects via gprs ,says it udating then looses connection everytime. ill stick to waetheronlinge via gprs for my weather reports. unless
anyone have the seetings to use or this program ?

if your just after weather reports try wap.weatheronline.co.uk (colour site)

The same...

I think the connection settings will vary according to your operator. I'm on Movistar, with http connection type and my gprs access point chosen (the one I use for emails/browsing).

But anybody had this?? (I'm on the trial version having participated in the beta, but that shouldn't change much) - after restarting the phone, and starting Worldmate, a message appears "running std edition for the first time". Then, the weather database is mysteriously restricted to Liverpool & London... and despite updating the weather, only these 2 locations are available. 😮 . Reinstalling, the "full" (missing key cities like Athens, Mexico City) database reappears (although the file size is unchanged 😮

Also, all clock screens are 1 hour behind the time in numbers on opening the application 😮 😮 but changing tabs then returning, it's OK ( I had this in the beta, but no response from support :-? )

Is it me, or is it the app??

Paul

liverpool lad,

a) never had that "shrinking" database "feature"

b) yes, here it went back 1 hr. when started for the 1st time (same thing that did other "world clock" programs from all software houses)

also, it seems it cannot update via wap settings using vodafone Italy WAP access... it's very bad for me, since I still have a "free" wap connection but have to pay for the "web"gprs connection

it tells me I need to use the HTTP settings (that works very well, btw) but... what's the use of having a WAP option if it can't be used with wap-only access points?
