Although this may be a question of RTFM but can anyone tell me how to get rid of the annoying vodafone videos played on startup and shutdown.

Also I tend to use my phone as a clock. Having the P800 'go dark' doesn't help. Does anyone know of a screen saver that runs a clock as the Siemens S55 does.

Lastly I'm struggling to find the setting for changing the sound played when a SMS arrives. I've seen the setting for data and default sounds but not for SMS.

Thanks for a great forum. It makes great reading :fadein:

I can only help you with the question on SMS Alerts.

Click Control Panel.
Click Messaging Accounts.
Click Alerts.

And there you have the options to change the defaults for SMS, MMS, Email, Area Info, Auto Set Up.

Good luck!

ianf, Psiloc, the people who made miniGPS and are developing an app that replaces the current screensaver. Here is the link for the existing app for Nokia and presumably the P800 version, when it comes, will be rather similar:

It has the missing feature that you refer to and I desperately want. My reason for a clock in the screensaver is that I want to be able to see the time without unlocking the phone but at the same time pretect my data from thieves by having it device locked.
