Nokia Bluetooth Carkit & P800

Has anyone managed to get their P800 working with a Nokia CARK112 bluetooth car kit? If so, please tell me how??

I am running the following versions of firmware:
Phone: R1D
Bluetooth: R2C
Organiser: R1G05
CDA: R2A04

I have already paired my phone with the nokia carkit successfully and have the following config in place:

Settings:
Operation mode = ON
Receiving items = Always receive

The device is set to:
Allow to connect without confirmation = yes

When the pairing was completed, "Carkit" with a headphone icon next to it was displayed in my devices list.

My bluetooth light continually flashes.

However, when I am in the car, with engine on, and my phone starts ringing with an incoming call, I press my nokia bluetooth button to answer, but nothing happens.

And if I want to try and make a call using the nokia bluetooth button (pressing twice for last dial), it does not work either.

There seems to be no response from the carkit even though the pairing occurred successfully.

Can anyone please shed some light on this?

Am I doing something wrong?? 😞

Any help is much appreciated.

Thanks.

Bugz.

the Cark112 will not work with the 800. The reason is that the P800 does not support the bluetooth handsfree profile and the cark112 expects devices (correctly so) to connect using this profile.

Nothing you can do except hope that SE release an update to the firmware at some point that does support this bt profile.
