Well maybe not bomb proof, but I just spilt a whole plastic cup of hot tea onto the front screen of my p800 (a little worse for wear from last night) and it didnt do a thing. Nice. There was even tea in the battery and on the camera but its fine.
Now thats build quality!
I also dropped it onto some concrete last weekend, made a small dent in the corner and every thing (case, battery, mem card, pen) popped off spectacularly. 😮ops:

It certainly seems very sturdy - i got out the car a week ago, slammed the door but forgot to keep hold of my P800 😮ops: it went spectacularly bouncing down the middle of the road but finished without a scratch! Glad i keep the flip on that is for sure 😃
Think there are several threads relating to people doing clumsy / drunken things to their phones and they certainly seem to withstand more than their fair share of abuse!
I wonder if SE would allow one to take a gander at their benchmark testing. I know all their products go through a battery of physical tests and environmental conditions simulation. Many outside companies perform their own benchtest reviews for consumers, but thus far the only ones I've seen for cell phones only discuss features and functionality. I would like to know if this thing could survive the infamous "6 foot" drop.
Strong as a whole it may be, but everytime when I hold it tough to press a button, the flimsy battery cover sounds like it's going to crack! 😊
