Volume control with MP3 player?

I have the same problem with the original MP3 player and the new MP3go.
The volume control cuts off the sound below 50%. It is very irritating. Does anyoune else have the same problem?

Try the unreal MP3 player, it has very good volume control even in flip closed through the Jog dial
