I hope somebody can help me with this. My P800 looses the time every day!!! I had it for about 1 week and it keeps loosing the time, usually overnight, every single day... It usually simply goes back one hour! Can somebody give me any ideas as of why this could happen?

Dear Delta, you rolling your eyes at me doesn't help because even though you might think I am one of those who never searches the forums and just posts I am not. I happen to have though about that but that is not the problem because my PC's time is correct. If it is off with the phone it's minutes, not one hour. The P800 goes 1 hour back every night... I also thought it could have something to do with the summertime but if I change the settings to Northern (I am in the northern zone, aren't I?) then the time difference between NYC and the European city I fly to which I have selected as second time is off...
The simpliest solution is: take it to SE for service  .
So this means something is wrong with it for sure?
Two more options:
Perhaps WorldMate is changing the time (it automatically changes the time, with summer and winter-time, could be a bug, could be...)
You can also sync the time with your provider. Perhaps you've set that to "on", and the provider screws up your time.
Just a couple of options.....
common,
Your timezone is not identical on both the phone and your computer, so every time you sync, it rolls back the time to 1-2 hour difference. Change the timezone on both to be correct and it will be ok.
you can always right click the little blue phone icon, select properties and stop the time sync altogether - that will fix it for you permenantly.
That seems to be a very insightful suggestion. Can you tell me what I should set it to? On my Windows XP PC I have the Time Zone set to GMT-5 EST and when I go to Europe I set it to GMT-1. I also have the "Automatically adjust clock for daylight savings changes" CHECKED.
On my P800 I have all three Summertime checkboxes UNchecked (that is Europe, Northern Zone and Southern Zone). If i check just Europe it's wrong and it's also wrong if I check just Northern Zone but if I check Europe AND Norther Zone together the time-difference between the two cities is correct. I just don't kno wif my PC will like it.
marcnyc: I can commiserate with you. I too have had the same time change problem off and on. I can tell you it has nothing to do with syncing inasmuch as most times this has happened to me when I was travelling overseas and had not synced at all during the trip. I am suspicious that Worldmate might be the culprit. Last trip I fiddled around back and forth with summertime etc. and finally settled on selecting to manually change the DST. I then set the time through the standard time application and then went out to Worldmate and made sure it was consistent.
Actually I haven' travelled at all yet... I am just here in the US...
