ideas?? phone starts up with divert icon — Nokia 7650

can anybody help me with this one? 😮

When I boot up the 7650, the "divert calls" icon appears under the battery signal. However, the phone receives calls as normal.

I go to call diverts, check status, and nothing is on divert... I then cancel "divert all calls", and the icon then disapears.

It's annoying, since I actually use the divert call option a lot, so need to see if the divert is activated.

This is happening since I got my phone back from the Nokia repair centre after a reformat due to a "initalisation failed..." message. The phone was on divert all calls when the melt-down occurred

It's got me puzzled 😮 - any ideas??

Try a different SIM card - preferably one that does not support call divert, see if it goes away. If it does, try the new SIM again.

that's a good idea j2k to narrow down the cause: I'm away from home at present, so I don't have anybody nearby with a simcard from my operator - when I get back, I'll see if it's phone or operator based 😃
