RepliGo and Mac

It sure looks like a winner app, specially since there's no Office editor to date and at least this way we can carry or doc's and view them conmfortably, but...does it work with Mac.

As I understand it the conversion takes place in the PC not on the P800, so if it's not compatible with Mac then we can't convert the Docs can we?

Does anybody know anything regarding this matter?

No, it doesn't work on the Mac. What is actually does is use a faux printer driver to 'print' a copy of whatever document to a file which the repligo viewer on your P800 can display. It's actually quite a lot like Acrobat in that regard. The integration with IE and office is just they put a button on the toolbar to speed the process up, it's not doing anything different.

The point being, the printer driver required only exists for Windows. Unless someone (repligo, presumably) writes a Mac printer driver that works the same way, a Mac doesn't really have any way to generate the files for the viewer to read. So there's no way you can use Repligo on a Mac right now other than via maybe Virtual PC.

Pity really, as the viewer the infinitely superior to the built in SE doc viewer. God knows why that ever made it into the real world, it's utterly useless. Repligo does a fine job, even if it's not an editor 😞.
