i try opera but dont work. p800 browser work. who tell me what can i do after download and install opera ? i want to watch web with frame, and p800 browser dont use this. thank
opera
Hey ambretes,
Opera will only work through a true GPRS internet connection. You must make sure that your network provides this service. If it does you must make a new separate connection soley for Internet over GPRS. Once you have done this, Opera and downloading emails will work - no probs. If your network does not provide this, you will not be able to use GPRS.
I suggest calling your network and speaking with a technician.
Mus,
I've to correct you that Opera not only work with GPRS, but other type of connections. On mine, I have used both GPRS and dialup services and both works well.
However, I think whether you can connect to your service provider depends very much on the instructions from your provider. I've to admit setting up a dialup account is easier than setting up a GRPS account though.
Ahh you are absolutely correct ericchu. Opera will work through a dail-up connection, but isnt that really expensive?

Hi Ambretes,
The problem sounds similar to my earlier one.
I had MMS and WAP GPRS account in my internet account and MMS, GPRS account in my WAP account. So when I connect to internet via P800 browser it uses WAP GPRS account. Please check your exisiting internet account's advanced section. Probaby there is "Wap" is written in the server address.
So I created new internet account and added "Internet" in the server address as instructed by my GPRS provider. After that, I was able to use Opera as well as POP3 email account.
Hope it helps.
hi tsogo i've tried your idea, but i don't ve 'wap' or 'internet' in internet account parameter. could you email me your adress for send to you my parameter in onternet account, wap account ?? thanks very much
Okey. I just sent you my email address.
Generally, each settings will depend on your GPRS provider. I suppose some may have different IP address for WAP GPRS and Internet GPRS. It could be something like 203.127.154.24 in the server address instead of "WAP" or "Internet".
Thanks for your email.
I think you may need one more internet account which can access to Opera and Pop3/Imap Message Account (currently you have 2. one is for MMS, and another one is for WAP).
In general internet account has 3 accounts. One is for MMS, one is for WAP GPRS and the last one is for Internet GPRS. You said that you can access to internet via built-in browser, which means your WAP is working okey. Why don't you try again to create new account, say "Opera Internet".
Internet account->New-> for example, "Opera Internet" in Account name (you can give any name you want)->Select GPRS in Connection type. Now more important part. Then select Advanced settings. Inside there, put "Internet" (if out this try did not work out then you should ask your GPRS provider what address/word you should put here) in the Server. Click Done. Again Done.
Now you have 3 internet accounts. Please select Preferred account name as "Opera Internet" and tick the show connection dialog. The reason this is Opera/POP3 Mail account did not ask which account to use to connect internet as well as mail server. However, the built-in browser asks which one to use.
Then turn off your mobile and start again (Just make sure. Probably it is not necessary). Try Opera.
For my case, I have 3 account in internet account. Inside the advanced settings/server address, each one has the one important word. For MMS, it has "Multimedia", for WAP, it has "Wap" and the one I created for Opera say "Opera Internet" has "Internet".
Can you tell me what is in there inside your existing 2 internet account's advanced settings/server address. (For my case, others like login, proxy is not important. It is possible that some GPRS provider use direct proxy address and port for internet).
Hope it helps.
its "portalmms"
in both, in gprs account and in mms account.
this were the default settings that were sent through my service provider.
i have same problem. no internet through pop3 mail or opera
please help me if u can
