I have Outlook express as default email client under Windows 2000.
I want to sync with Lotus Notes calendar and Outlook email, but no sync is possible, because it says that "Either there is no default mail client or the current mail client cannot fulfill the messaging request. Please run Microsoft Outlook and set it as default mail client".
How do I do that?
Is it really necessary?
Sync problems when Outlook is not default mail client

Yes, it is really necessary. You can do it temporarily by right-clicking the Internet Explorer icon, choosing Programs and setting Outlook as your default mail client. Then after syncing you do the same, but set Outlook Express as your default mail client again. Anyway, that's what I do on my Win98 machine.
