i am not able to delete or uninstall any application or file from my memory stick duo. i can access them and run them but not delete. i have checked that it is not locked on the chip. error mesage comes that disk is write protected. can somebody plz help me.

😮

Take your memory stick duo out of your phone and hold it up against the light. Now you should see a leetle silver 'thingie' (lock) on the memory stick. (If you don't see it, turn the stick around). Take a pencil, pen or knife and slide the 'thingie' to the other side.

That's it, your duo has just been unlocked.

Sorry I'm being sarcastic, but have you ever heard of RTFM? It stands for : Read The Manual......

Is there a manual anywhere with that in......?

Do it again. Slide the lock to the other side and back - and make sure you've done it 100%

Sorry, Jules, couldn't help it... 😃

I had that problem when copying some mame roms from a cd, they went over write protected and then wouldnt delete. File manager can change them so you can delete them, you can do it on your pc through the sync software with the normal eight click, properties option. hope that helps! 😃

If you copy any files from a Windows NT, 2000, XP network onto CD, it will mark the file/s as read-only.

You first need to copy it to your pc's hard drive and then untick the 'read-only' checkbox in the file properties (right-click on the file and select properties at the bottom of the drop-down list), because the CD is read-only.

*Also remember this when you backup your email onto CD from Outlook or Lotus Notes at work and want to import it in your Outlook/Notes at home!!! You can't restore it directly from the cd, first need to copy it to a local disk/USB storage device and untick the read-only value.
Anyone know where can I get a 128MB MS duo in Singapore?
😮 I ordered my 128MB Duo from P800er.com, shipping from Singapore....
This is the site, for Singapore buyers.... (it's out of stock for now, guess that you're gonna have to pre-order)
