Tried all combinations of the "turn jog dial up ,*,down, down,*,down,*" access from all possible starting points. Multiple searches here and elseware have yielded nothing helpful - including no one else having the same issue. Any help is appreciated.

Just a note, I can get to the network locks by entering the following combination on phone screen in flip closed mode:
jog dial down * * jog dial down
Just can't get to the service menu...
Jog dial: UP - * - DOWN - DOWN - * - DOWN - *
Remember to turn the wheel only ONE step at the time.
