i am tempted to buy the 3650, i dont know any one who has it, infact i have never seen it with my own eyes

i just want to know that if you take video with the phone, and play it back on the phone, will it look good?? how good/bad???

and another thing i heard that it will only take vids for 15seconds is that true?? is there any way/program to make it take longer vids??

thanks

Its great for videos. I have sound with mine so i get about 10seconds worth. You will not be sorry for getting a 3650

Hi,

From personal experience with Nokia fones I'd say have it. I have got the 7650 and love it to pieces, there is so much you can do if you're willing to sit down and play around with it using your PC.

The 3650 takes things one step further in that you have almost limitless memory for taking pictures, videos, installing applications and games without running out of room. Plus with the big memory cards you can put a whole film on them in some cases to watch when bored at work.

In standard trim you are limited to 10-12 seconds of video recording with sound. But, it's out already but in beta form, a new application is just around the corner that will allow you to set almost any limit you like and the 3650's memory card will take it. It is called ETI Camcorder PRO and is due for commercial release soon, it is the software to have for video judging by it's test program.

Go for it, you won't regret it. Ian

😮

It is definately BAD quality. If you have seen the commercial where a guy captures video of a snowboard guy, the quality looks really good. But it is not. It is so bad it is hard to see what you have captured.

On the other hand the photo quality is very good!

If you are looking for a device to capture video, 3650 is not a good choice. But except for that - it is awesome!

I disagree with GeeZuZz about the video quality. It's very good for what it is.

The Nokia video capabilities work well when you consider that the 3650:

-- is first a cell phone.
-- has limited processing power and memory.
-- is limited due to the current state of wireless networks.

It's true that Nokia limits video clips to 15 seconds (shorter apparently when sound is recorded also), but there's a good reason for this. Currently, video is mostly shared by MMS. And currently, MMS networks limit file attachments to less than 100K, which is about the size of a 15 second clip in the built-in video recorder application's 3GP file format.

Indeed, ETI's excellent Camcorder application allows you to record continuous footage limited only by available storage on your memory card. But it uses its own file EYE file format, which in the long run might not prove as compatible with desktop applications (which may or may not be important to you) as 3GP, now that Apple supports the 3GP in QuickTime for both Windows and Mac platforms.

Like any inexpensive video capture device, processing power and memory limit capture rate to 15 frames per second, which is only half of 30 frame per second full quality. What's more, many factors affect the quality of the video captured by the phone's simple camera. Light and motion are two key examples. The camera wants a lot of light for best quality. Low light will introduce artifacts that affect the video's quality. And the camera won't deal well with a lot of motion, mainly because of the low frame rate, resulting in bluriness when heavy motion is introduced. But this is to be expected because the camera was really designed as a way to send video greetings and messages, which wouldn't normally involve a lot motion and presumably would be shot with a decent amount of light.

Finally, I would rate the 3650 video comparable with that captured by inexpensive PenCam type devices (when viewed on a PC). That's good enough for me considering that I can e-mail the video anywhere in the world from my phone. And maybe get an instantaneous response and thus instant gratification. With a PenCam, I have to wait until I'm back in front of the computer to transfer my video. Not quite as convenient as using the 3650's wireless capabilities.

get the platform 4 player ill send u a video to watch on ur pc if u watch it on small screnn on the player then u get an estimate for the quality, still better on phone screen!
Also its great for a phone as good as my 3G phone anyway was, and i dont see many other mobile phones doing video as standard so go or it.
