Thanks Hera... I guess you work for Symbianware?
Well I am in the process of purchasing it now. I assume this will be one of the best places to list any known bugs or problems?
Well it does look awesome, will update once I've had a good mess with it.
Damn!!!!
This is a perfect launcher for P800 (at the moment). I am in Malaysia. I waited untill 1:30am in the morning to download this. Thanks Hera.
I already uploaded a news about this in www.mysymbianusers.com
Thanks and regards
Hera,
The new today view is very nice and I like the way SMS messages are displayed, but I don't understand why you didn't enable it to display new E-MAIL messages?
You have SMS, MMS and OTHER, but no e-mail... I really don't understand your reason for doing it this way. I mean, I never even use MMS and I hardly think it's as much used as e-mail, and OTHER -whatever that is, system/set-up messages or something?
I use e-mail even more than SMS..
Anyway, thanks for a great piece of software, but please enable e-mail messages to be displayed in the today view in an update.
And also, several people(myself included) have asked for a search function in the file manager, any chance of implementing that?
Thank you, and keep up the good work.
Raven,
From the realisation point of view emails are quite different from sms and mms. We'll ad them in one of the next releases as a separate function.
Find function - quite difficult to implement but will be added as well (because we need it as well 8) 😃 )
After fiddling for a few hours wit Tracker 2.0, I am satisfied with the new additions especially the Today screen. However, I cant find the following which was previously available in Tracker 1.01:-
1- How to remove the gridlines of the shortcuts? I mean each shortcuts can be assigned in one box. But the box is viible. In Tracker 1.01, I can set it to show it or not show it.
Yeah, Search/Find function would be nice in the File Manager.
The new feature when jog dial is pressed and a menu pops up is very2 cool...!!!
I will post any questions if I have here.
Rgds

Mine doesn't show the grid box. Go to the the "Desk" view, click
"View"-> "Look and feel settings"->"Preferences"->then uncheck the box for "show gridlines on Desk"
What the!?! The Tracker 2 Day View background is the same as Handy Day background!
Hello Hera,
How do people have to buy Tracker if they don't have a creditcard???? :-?
Is there any possibillity to make a money order or something?
I think I'm not the only one who does not have a creditcard and I think more people would buy Tracker if there was another way to pay.
Tracker looks great, and I can't wait to buy it! 😃

Thanks man. You made my day 😊 I didn't realize that until I stumble upon it this morning.
All in all, Tracker 2.0 is freakin great. I'm all satisfied with it.
I'm gonna toy around with the backgrounds hehehe...
One thing tracker should include -- able to change colour scheme. I can then say bye bye to Handy Day.

That's why Handy Day still here with me, probably for sometimes :rainbowafro:
Maybe it's just because I've used Handy Day for ages now, but I don't find the tracker day view to be as easy on the eye. Is there any way to set the zoom level?
Plus, if I have lots of Calendar entries, I can't see my messages? I'd like to be able to see jus the first few calendar entries, then to-do's, then messages. Then there's the tiny clock in the bottom corner.
Nice try, but unless I'm missing something in the settings, I'll sick with Handy Day and file manager for now.
It's good enough that I went ahead and registered it yesterday. I was never a HandyDay user, but Tracker finally "completes" my P800. Auto lock alone is worth it 😊
Now for my wishlist:
* Ability to put time/date on the lock screen. I use my cellphone as a watch, and I hate having to unlock it just to see what time it is.
* Ability to change font for time on desktop screen. It's usable, just not what I'd want 😊
* Ability to click folder icons in the File manager, rather than the textual names. From the UI world I'm used to now (Mac OS X), clicking on the text once means you want to rename it, clicking on the icon means you want to go to it. This had me frustrated thinking that I couldn't change folders.
* Ability to change the background for the "Today" screen, from the Today display. It's annoying to have to keep swapping between Desktop->Today to change and test new backgrounds when you're designing your own.
That said, Tracker is by far my favorite 3rd party app for the P800. Kudos to the developers, great job!
Uninstalled Handy Day, I think Tracker is better, I'll keep Handy Day in the freezer till next time. 😉
Isnt the today view albit slow for you guys? It takes around3-4 seconds on the "loading" screen 😞 It does look better though 😊
Far too slow. I switched back to Handy Day after waiting up half the ngiht for Tracker to be uploaded. :x
Oh well...
I was wondering, I ofcourse have tracker in my 6 programs,. But can't i get tracker to autoshow my today, instead of Desk ?
that would be a wery cool fucktion. Also i wonder, I have assignet down to today and up to desk. But it dosen't seem to work. Because the jog dial always have an existing function ?
Looking forward to any replies

Desk view - View - Global settings - Flip open event: Today [Pop up Tracker]

Remember that "DOWN" means Jog dial pressed away from you NOT just scrolling the wheel down.. And Jog dial "UP" means of course pressing the Jog towards you NOT scrolling the wheel up.
Hope it helps. 😊
@raven: do you have the delay also? I mean when accesing the today view, how many seconds does it take?

It's a five way controller actually, like a joystick I suppose. If you hold the unit vertically with the screen facing you the jog dial can be pushed away from you (you'll feel a slight click) and towards you. Towards is pretty difficult I agree, so I don't use it, but away is easy even with one hand, so I use this to activate the today view - it works from any program. I've set it to be autostarting so I don't have to fiddle about when I switch on.
:robot:
Weee, didnt know that, allthough i had this for 6 months now. 😊

Yep... The loading screen is getting quite annoyiing, really hoping they'll do something about it in an update..
