Memory card capacity?

Just went to take a look at my memory and saw that it said (memory capacity 122mb)!

Weird as i have a 128mb memory card! With my 16mb it says 15mb capacity!

Is this a bug or does the phone use some of the memory to load up or somethihg?

10% of all memory "disappears" after format. Its the way file systems work. Like your harddisk. You bought a 15Gb drive, but it only says probably 14.9Gb. Its true for all storage medias.

Wrong!

All memory or HDD manufactures calculate like this: 1Mb = 1000kb .
All systems calculate like this: 1Mb = 1024kb .

So all memory cards, hdd or whatever are smaller if you calculate like a machine.

wow... you must really miss those 2 MB...

you are partially right, but in the case of the 128, we would get 128000B/1024B=125MB, not 122, so.... WRONG[/u]
