Application Macros/Shortcuts ?

Hi, I have a feature request in P800. Currently, in P800, for example, if you want to enable Infrared or Bluetooth or something, you have to go thru
ControlPanel->Connections->Infrared->On

Similarly, for OFF also, you have to do the samething. This is pretty much same for lots of frequently used things.

So, I was thinking, if there was an application that lets record these keystorkes and let's assign a name to it and maintain a list of these shortcuts or macros. Then, we can create shortcuts to lots of frequently used items and get the job done by just selecting an item from the shortcuts list.

what do you guys think ? Anybody out there want to do develop this ?

Yes, I agree.

If you enable infrared with flip closed, you will have to use both the keys and jog dial and I think its quite inconvenient.

I also use Handy Day and have the shortcut right there whenever flip open, but still would like to see some macro or software that can enable the function by hot keys.

I would certainly like some sort of scripting/recording function.

For example, I frequently have to close the flip when playing eDoom but excellent as the program is, it is not that well behaved and once I have switched away from it the only way to get back is to restart. Unfortunately this requires killing the processes in Tracker which all takes a fair amount of faffing about.

I don't believe that such a thing exists, but I would love to be proved wrong.
