Greetings. Made a pretty extensive search for this topic but haven't found anything. Can I define an automatic/default internet connection so I don't have to manually choose the connection ('account name', pull-down list) whenever I connect to the net?
Connect to Internet > Choosing Account
In Control Panel -> Connection -> Internet Account, select your Preferred Accounts from the drop down list.
It seems there are 2 types internet connection. One is for WAP GPRS and another one is for Direct/Internet GPRS. You have to use the second one to browse in opera as well as to send/recieve pop3/imap email account.
For me, it always asks when I switch between built-in browser (WAP) and opere browser.
Oh forgot to say I selected "Preferred" account as "Internet GPRS" (for opera) in the internet account and as "WAP GPRS" in the WAP account.
In the P800 Internet browser (as opposed to Opera), every bookmark also has a setting for WAP account and can be set to an explicit account or to the Preferred one.
I gave up using Preferred as this depends on whether you are surfing through the Internet Gateway or the WAP Gateway and they seem to be mutually exlusive - ie if you are connected to the Internet Gateway you can't view WAP pages. I manually set every WAP bookmark to the WAP account and every Internet bookmark to the Internet account - although, if I'm using Internet I'd generally use Opera anyway!
