hi guys,

i have both handy day 3.0 n tracker loaded on my p800 so jus wanted to know if any of u guys using both like me have had any problems like system crashes or apps disappearin etc cos of using both 2gether.

thanx.
cheers.

Yep, I have both Handy Day 3.0 and Tracker 1.01 installed and they coexist fine. I set them to use different activation buttons, and avoid conflicts. and then it's plain sailing.
However, from the screenshots and blurb it looks like Tracker may make Handy Day obsolete with its' new schedule view features.
But this should prompt new features from Epocware, so it's not so bad. Both are nice neat little apps IMHO. 😃

The latest tracker seems so much like Handayday now and more. I am sure that Epocware would do something about this 😊

I did have both installed and they co-exist quite happily. However, I removed tracker after a while. I didn't find it offered enough functionality over and above what I already had (with Handyday and file manager). There were some nice touches in there but not enough for me to warrant it taking up space.

But I'll certainly be trying the new version when it comes out. The screen layout for the day view looks very good. The only gripe I have with Handyday is that I tend to have more tasks that Calendar appointments, but the calendar part of the view takes up more space.

Tracker appears to allocate screen space to the various data types dynamically, dependant on which part requires the most. I still have some reserves about how the whole package will fit together though. Tracker 1.x appeared a little fragmented. I hope they've found away to both add the extra functionality and improve the way everything works together.

I installed the tracker demo and kept Handy day. As a result in 2 days I had a couple of crashes when for a long time I never had one.

I made sure that they didn't both try to activate on flip open and I dissabled all activation buttons in tracker.

I ended up erasing tracker. It's great but I use Handy day way more. I agree, once tracker has the day view I'll try it again. I hope they also add week view like Handy day. Also who needs 2 pages of apps? I mean the Icons are so small that I could fit all necessary apps on one page.

by the way, since I took tracker off I've had no further crashes

Handy Day is a good product, however Tracker offers so much more, and with it's next release(today view etc.) there will be no use for Handy Day or Active Desk anymore IMO.

I just love the way I can access all my apps from one view in Tracker. And with it's excellent task/file manager this is by far my most used and most treasured app. 😊
