I guess this question is quite subjective. As for me, it's more for my peace of mind 😃

For others, I remembered a few says that they have never used it.
If you'll be using your P800 with flip on, then it shouldn't be that critical.
If you're a flip-off user, then perhaps you're better off with screen protector. Think of it as spending a lot less for a piece of SP than spending a whole lot replacing the actual screen if it ever get scratched. You've already spend that much for a P800, why not spend a little bit more for a little insurance.
