iv managed to wipe all my sim card ( doh ) had a copy on my pc ..but is there any way to copy contacts back to sim without doing each one individually ...

Not that I'm aware of. The P800 can hold multiple numbers per contact, the fields can be larger than the SIM can handle, and most SIM cards can only hold 99 entries. So, the only way to get them directly from the P800 would be to select a contact, export to SIM, and then choose the number you require if there is more than one for that contact.
Your best bet looks like that backup!
