Just got my p800... couple of questions

Hi hope these havent been asked before , searched but couldnt find.

just got mine today yayyy about time.. waiting a month for the delivery 😞

just wondering about processes running, i had a pocketpc before this and you could check to see what programs you had running in the background , much like windows. i notice on the p800 that you can go from program to program and there doesnt seem to be a way to go back to the last thing or something that you opened.. does it stay open in the back ground, is there a way to close the tasks? or does it automatically close the program and free resources when you go on to next program.

also i cant seem to find this MIB game or the stunt racer one on my phone only got solitare and chess 😞

as i say, i've only got this a few hours ago so hopefully its just me being dumb 😊

also what are the "KILLER APPS" to have on this that i should look for?

cheers

Yes, Symbian does keep track of the memory and free up resources as it goes. The apps do keep running in the background and there is no way to view currently running apps\memory allocation without 3rd party software.

MIB and Stunt Run are on the multimedia CD and can be installed from your PC via the cradle, IR or bluetooth.

As for "Killer Apps". Now there's a question designed to promote "discussion". My personal faves are HandyDay, WorldMate, Advanced English Dictionary and (now this one is pretty much unanimous) Opera. Also File Manager is kind of essential (all available via here, my symbian and handango amongst others).

HandyDay does give you a task list with current memory allocations, allows you to switch to an app or close those currently running. However, many prefer Tracker which has a new, very nice looking version out soon (48hrs if rumours are anything to go by).

I have exactly the same set of favorite with addition of Ogg Player .7

I agree... Oggplay is the killer ap. Opera is prol the best cellbrowser I've seen.
