I'm posting a comment from the original page of the S60 ported E32Frodo. Maybe someone knows a "hack" how to handle this:
Someone wrote:
"Hi Hannu! Again with a question: seems the store/restore function works in a way it saves/loads the 1541 emulation parameter also. This could be very problematic in several games cause I\'ve realized that having the 1541 emulation off the loading is just fine. But this setup somehow prevents saving the C64 data to a disk image. So now I can\'t switch on 1541 emulation only on saving games cause when I restart frodo and try to restore my game state, it won\'t use the 1541 emulation TRUE parameter from frodo.fpr. Any idea?"
My additional comment:
"I guess the problem is really that quicksave saves the 1541 emu parameter also (like the original Frodo). That\'s OK. But in your ported version (and maybe in the E32Frodo too) you can\'t switch this 1541emulation on/off from the menu during the play(it\'s supported in the PC version). If your game needs saving you can\'t enjoy this speed hack cause you need to let the 1541 emulation keep on although loading would work without it. I\'d like to introduce a feature wish to support online switching of the mentioned parameter. ;0)"
Any idea how to handle this with the current version??? Creating a tool that edits the snapshot file could be one .
