Tissue,

Where did you get these pictures from? I have seen something similar on a Sony website but it was a TV turner attached to a memory stick. I must admit I am very very curious, but how would this work, not through GPRS surely??? Damn that would be expensive!!!

Anyway Tissue, throw us some more info... but alas I have none for you. :fadein:

A mate sent em to me. And yes, it is the tv tuner (memory stick like) I didnt attach the pic cos it has been posted several times
It would work like an indoor tv tuner. I dont think it will use GPRS -- what for? I think the reception will be weak like most of the cheap indoor tv tuners.

I have the video. If anyone has a server and would like to host it and advertise the link, send me a PM

If this would be true, it would be very nice!!! But we've seen and heard more fakes lately :-?

If it's true, it's a real shame the P800 only has 4096 colors :robot:

The first picture, shows one of the most famos arabi singers "Mohammad Abdo", and the second picture shows "Abu Dhabi" Channel which in UAE "United Arab Emarites". Does that mean that the developer is in the middle east?? if so there is only one company that I know in the Gulf... S&W.... I'm just guessing !!

Could be real look @ this:

Saw this pic a few months ago so maybe the software is ready soon...

Hey people,

Keep this thread going, cause if this little baby does become available everyone should know and rejoice. Imagine being on the bus or train travelling to work, bored out of your mind, why not pull out your P800 and TV tuner and see whats on TV???

How cool would that be?

I don't think this is far fetched.. I mean it wasn't too long ago that Samsung released it's TV phone. I'm sure SE knows it has to follow suit or has been pursuing technologies along the same line. Here's a pic of the Samsung TV phone....

dude check this out. The tuner is real but sad to say Sony won't produce it commercially.

Just a quick question....
If all this is true then in Britain would we need to get a TV Licence for our p800?!!!!!!!! 😃

Damn Tissue, this is just mean!!!

I would pay big bucks for a TV tuner for my phone and now it seems it wont be available... DAMN!!!

So Tissue, thanks for ruining my day... nah just jokes, but its mean nonetheless!!! 😞 😞 😞

It wouldn't surprise me if the idea gets bought out by some huge company whos gonna lose out if its released. just like the water powered car.
