I'd suggest doing a thorough tidy-up in your contact list.

I used to experience this as well, but not anymore. I found out that many of my contacts stored on my SIM card didn't match the ones stored on the phone itself. So if you have one contact stored on your SIM, remember that the very same contact's number(s) and name must match exactly if it's also stored on the phone memory. And also that the contact number your SMSing is stored under "Mobile" and NOT "Phone".

For some reason I also had to change all my local contacts to display the international prefix(i.e. Norway +47) before the number. This might be because my firmware is in English, I don't know, but at least now sending/receiving SMS works like a charm. Before only the number of the contact I received an SMS from would display, not the name, and when I tried replying the "SEND" button wouldn't respond at first and after trying again and again all I got was an "out of memory" notification.

So I'd suggest you plow through those contacts of yours. I know it's time consuming and oh so boring, but in the end it will be worth it. 😊 After I did this little "tidy-up" the problem was completely resolved.

Good luck.

Hi, for me, to make things less complicated, I copied all my contacts from SIM to the Phone, and then delete every single entry in the SIM. No more 'Out of memory' problem since then for the past couple of months 😊
