Data Backup and Smartness of P800

Hi guys, I don't know whether you have this experience.

My internal memory was full and the phone crashed! This is actually very stupid that I canot delete, move or uninstall (software) and I ended with the phone not functioning. So I thought of going to Vodafone shop and see what they can do for me and I left it on my cradle last night.

Today, 20 mins ago, I restarted my phone and it tells me that the internal memory is corrupted and need to be formatted and I did (This make me think that P800 is also smart too!). And now, my phone is functioning again, just that I lost all the data on my internal memory.

Thus, I realise that backup is important, at least once a month to make sure everything kept up to date when something happen. Especially the contacts!

That's all!

What firmware do you have? I have R2F and in situations like that the phone alerts me ans asks if i want to free some space. No crash...

And theres a file on c:\ called SlopFile.ini that i've been told that exists for that, i.e. when the system needs space it gets it there...

my previous one is R2X (x=something) and now is R1X (x=something)....my old phone wasn't work well and changed to a new phone but the firm ware is older one =(. and yes, my OS also WARNS me about the internal memory when it is nearly full. It asked me a couple of time, and i try to move files to my MSD.

But this crash happened without warning, well, it has but i didn't think it was serious! My startup logo, Vodafone, was gone and it became SE's logo just a week or 2 before yesterday. I don't know but from now on, I will back up around once a month! hehe...coz I lost some of my stuff already!

The old phone with R1D didn't give me problem at all. Still when they swapped me a new phone as camera problem, I found the new one was installed with R1D and immediately ask them to upgrade it to R2F right away. 😊
