Does anyone know where i can get my firmware upgraded in the UK? I tried my local Carphone Warehouse (who are my local Nokia service centre) but they looked at me like i was talking a different language.

I'm sure if you called them you could 'book' your upgrade and they would do it whilst you went shopping, they are very helpful 😉
