Hi,
I would like to put a couple of my DVD's on my phone with Helix. Before I try, can anyone tell me if Helix will read straight from the disc or to I need to rip it first?
Cheers,

... Also, will Helix encode a DiVX file? Sorry if these questions have already been asked but i'm on WAP so cannot search. 😊
I've never used helix. But I would say no to both questions 😊 Most DVDs are CSS encrypted and afaik helix does not have decss code 😉 And what comes to divx. I think that real will never support other than its own formats, realvideo8/9 etc...
It would be nice though to have a media player that could play (s)vcd, divx etc.. and in fullscreen (flipped 90 degrees)
Oh yeah i forgot about copy protection on the discs! Should have guessed it wouldn't be so simple! Would still like divx clarification though if anyone knows? Helix does seem to recognise a lot of file types, including ones not in the list so maybe...? Guess i will have to download a small divx and test it! 😊
PC Suite will automatically convert AVI files to 3gp
I don't have BT/IR/cable so can't use PC Suite. (I use a card reader.) Anyway, I like Helix. 😊
Just wondering what is possible b4 I waste hours on it only to find it doesn't work! 😊

mm no ur wrong helix can encode DIVX im doing it right... so ur best bet to encode a dvd would be to make it divx 1st and then into rm format using helix producer...although i tihnk thts a long process very long....
