This thread included a poll: Flip on, or off?

what do you prefer? i have just taken mine off and to be honest it looks a lot better, although it leaves it more vunerable to scratches etc i should think.

also, being left handed it helps when playing games when tilted as the flip used to get in the way on stunt racer etc 😊

Come on gibbon. This has been asked a hundred (okay, 3 or 4) times before and it always comes down to whether or not you use the P800 primarily as a PDA or phone. Those for whom it's a phone with PDA functionality nearly always leave the flip on. Those for whom it's a PDA that can make phone calls use it with the flip off.

I seem to remember it usually comes out about 65 to 35 for flip off.

Do, do, do a search first to find the goodies 😃

oh... sorry
i wasnt asking for research reasons.. just thought i would start a conversation as most things posted in here seem to be just regarding software/problems.. didnt even think that it would be a problem with "repeat posting"

never mind... sorry for taking peoples time and bandwidth up by clicking in here

Functioning either as a phone or PDA, I think flip off works best; although P800 looks better with the flip on 8) wish that there can be a better flip design (both look and feel).

I would say it looks 'more complete' with flip on but with it the phone is rather unnessarily thick. The non-flush buttons are very easily got caught in pocket or cases. It caught dust easily too. I won't put the flip on again! Just my opinion. 😊
