Listening to mp3's or Video Audio?????

That's the only way to listen to mp3 via the stereo headset (or use the speaker).

this is one thing i hate about SE .. they do not sell the stereo headset seperately..because i lost my one..so now i have to go and beg the SE centre just to knick one from a box

I plugged in a headset that I bought a while ago and used an adapter and it worked fine. How are you trying to connect the headset to the phone? This is not uncommon in many devices that require headphones. Especially Sony when using Sony gear. I would find the proper adapter and give it a try.

SE does sell that stereo headset in SG but its very much overpriced.

couldn't you just use an adapter for it? or there are plenty of third party gear for it.

For SE headsets the you plug on the bottom of the phone you can only use them for handsfree calls. Mp3 and audio from music you can only listen to them from the upper left jack.
