IRC Client for P800

I was wondering if the P800 could handle an IRC client working in real-time frame. The biggest challenge would typing in a comment edge-wise. So far my Chatpen cant handle the IM client that well so it seems like a keyboard is imperative for quick replies. With that said, has anyone seen any IRC clients under development for the P800 or has no one really considered it?

Where can SymIRC for P800 be found? Apparently the only one I see published is for the Nokias.. However, they use a different UIQ so the functionality would be a bit different right?

I use SymIRC on my P800 every few days. It works pretty nicely. Only complaint is that I'd love to get a nice auto-connect/auto-join thing going, so I can just open it up and have it get in the IRC channel of choice without typing anything.

Now I just need to learn how to do the handwriting for @#:

I've written a few extra things into SymIRC to fix problems I thought were inconvenient in the latest version available on the official site. For starters, you can join channels without writing anything with my version. I contacted the author a few weeks ago with my changes, but he never responded. Anyway, check it out: http://wolvie.org/projects/symirc/

Oh goodie, I'll try it, I've a problem with the displaying the input box with the original version. Okay, I've this problem again, please help!! The text box is hidden from view, I can't enter anything..

I don't have the screenshot software installed but a description is enough - the program loads and operates correctly except that the bottom part is hidden from view, so I can't enter any texts/commands/etc, or even press done or cancel button. I am using R2D right now, will upgrade on Monday..
