well, that would be to give everyone jobs thus eradicating unemployment.
For me to be king for a day would require a slight alteration to my physiology, one that I've always wanted to have a try at, so I'm afraid I would be spending the day in my bedroom 😉

Hmmm... eradicate all unemployment... that's sure is noble... stay in the bedroom ... sure sounds like fun...
If I could, I would ban all child labour and put the kids to school, girls and boys. But that would mean providing some alternate ways of survival to the families... I'm afraid one day would not be enough even for a king to solve all the problems involved. :cry:
If I was king for one day I would probably just walk around in my huge castle to get to know all the dozens of rooms, and maybe plan a grand ball for the evening. Everyone would be invited 😉 We could have a costume party so that we could all be whatever we wanted 8)
If it was only for a day, why not make it terrible for incoming King/Queen (i.e. no Tax Loophole/Havens), so they would be better off getting a real job. 😊
Of course, I still believe we need a Monachy in UK as brings in a lot of tourism.
