Blur around the edges?

Try to improve the lighting and clean the lense at the back with a lense cleaning cloth.

Indeed.. it's do look blur on the side of the photo...

Think you are just getting aberration. Normal with a small lens, in fact,
largely unavoidable due to the way in which optics work.

Lens on the P800 is tiny compared to my C50 and that is about half the diameter of my analogue camera. This is why the top end cameras are so big -- you need to use the middle of the lens surface because the image drops away as you get towards the edges.
