iMovie MPEG4 export

hi in trying to use imove and quicktime 6.3 (with the 3gpp update) to export my movies to mp4 format for the phone. Has anyone else been able to do it?

Also im using a 17inch imac with super drive, 800mhz, 10.2.6, and im sure the damn thing has bluetooth but it is telling me it hasnt, does anyone know how to fix it? Theres not much in the apple knowledge base

800Mhz iMacs don't have bluetooth built in. You have the software but you don't have the hardware. You need to buy a little USB widget that will do that job. The apple store for your country will sell you the official one or there are cheaper alternatives.

I have exported MP4's that play on the P800 from QT6, but I haven't tried from iMovie.

You can check the settings from another topic on here (do a search) but the main problem is you need to scale the movie to fit nicely in the movieplayer screen. Unfortunately QT's scaling on export to MP4 isn't so good. It's only two sizes - one of which is too small and one too big -or 'current size' which may also be too big. What you need to do is take your movie and export it with no compression and scale that to the size you need, then take the scaled movie and export that as MP4 from inside QT Pro. I can't remember what the valid dimensions are, but I think you need to have a width of less than 200 pixels. Play with the dimensions until you get what you want.
