yesterday i experimented with the camera of the 7650, since i have been usin the camera at high res since 9 months now i jus tried the normal mode and basic and i see no diffrence there. i had less memory cuz of high res mode so i see no diff y we need to use high res and store less photos. below are 3 pix. from basic to high. i dont remember if this was ever discussed cuz i did SEARCH 😊 plz explain whts the diff.

3 images there all look same to me. might b blurry that might b cuz i shake the phone too much nothing to do with the res im sure. details ne 1 ?
pic with normal res . pic of a bike launched in my country lol sellin for 1700 euros. i know u all have seen better bikes so chill 😊
it's funny. if you compare the basic/normal and the normal/high res pics you see no difference at all, but if you compare the basic with the high res, than you may find some difference. pay attention to the reds aboce the car.
they look a tiny bit more blended in as opposed to the lower resolution one, i'll be comparing pics with the 7650 and the p800 tomorrow as i just thought it'd be cool to find out and plus i'm not doing anything better

nk8 im waiting for ur comparin pix to come but then i bet the p800 is gonna have sexy lookin pix then the 7650. the only thing i noticed good bot the 7650 is that when shot at close range the pix are very nice thts bot it. i will just wait now till p800 and 6600 prices come down next yr and buy them both until i love my 7650 nomatter what. 😊
I think we should see those images PRINTED to tell the REAL difference. I pretty hard to do so whit a 640*480 12bit images I think...

hmmm, this is the photo taken by the p800 on hi res 640x480, but i didn't alter any color settings, everything was on automatic,
this is with the nokia 7650 on high res (with no settings altered)
p800 wins no doubt. im gettin p800 before i get the damn 6600. i guess i am so gonna wait till july 2004 and then get 6600 who knows that time there might be a diff. phone on nokia site 😃
actually, the image from the nokia 7650 is a lot brighter, and it should be... well not as dark as the p800 one because it was taken during the sunny day, and also, the p800's image is like a third bigger than the 7650's,
Seems to me that the P800 pics are somehow pre-sharpened before being compressed to JPEG. Take notice of the tiny horizontal lines on the post (and all over the picture as well) showing the CCD matrix or whatever the camera uses.
Not that I don't agree that they look better than Nokia's...

yea i guess so. lets jus wait till the 6600 comes out cuz i dont wna rush into gettin a fresh phone and gettin not wht i expect. so wht the heck b4 6600 comes out and if i feel like ill get the p800. nemore nice compare pix between the 2 nk8 ?
My 7650 takes much better low-light pictures than my mate's P800.
Picture quality on 6600 is kinda same as it is with 3650.
Hopefully SE P810 going to have decent price and not like 1000euros. :roll:

High or low quality determines the JPEG level of compression. On the other hand things like color balance are AFAIK hardware, and this is one example where the P800 hardware is worse than 7650's.
Besides the fact that it's so blue, P800 pic is actually better. If you played with both pics in some image editor such as Adobe Photoshop, p800 pic would eventually look better than Nokia's, just like in previous examples.
ahhh i dint know that but then in the simple way 7650's res looks better than the p800. wonder y they are not puttin a higher res in 6600 since we are gonne put more 700 euros in it i think we deserve a lot more than wht we got with 7650. wonder if we all mailed or got in contact with nokia ppl and ask them to put higher res cam and radio and basic stuff tht we need. will they listen. lol sounds stupid but if i were the manufacturer i think it shud b givin a chance of wht the public expects. neways i might b tlkin crap 😃
night pix compare of the p800 and 7650 ne1 ? high quality ones.
the thing is that withj the p800 images at the moment, before taking the images, there are numerous options, like contrast, brightness, flicker control, light control etc

is it just me who prefers the camera on the 7650 to the p800? the photos in this thread from the p800 sucks big time
