10 replies · 3,054 views · Started 24 June 2003

Hi guys. Questions here. Wats the actual diff between Memory stick duo and magicgate? Is Magicgate only meant for mp3s? Cos iam currently looking for Memory stick for storage of files and applications. Heard about 128MBs around but just happened to find out out that its actually Magicgate 128MB so i didnt get it. Please advise........By the way got my Vaja case earlier and its really cool.....retailing at SGD$159.95 @ Doml@Funan Centre....for your info.

If you only use the card for the P800, there is no difference between normal Duo's and MagicGate Duo's! Next time please do a search first...

Ok...thanks for the info.......you got to be abit more laid back .......its true people tends to post the same questions over and over again..........remember not everyone comes in here often enough to know how to navigate the site....many ppl are here for a quick answer in which if you are tired after reading it, dun reply cos its not a must.....its subjective and up to individual obligation....if there are experts..there will be novice........

Actually, it's not "subjective" or "up to individual obligation". If you'd read the stickies at the top, the moderators and administrators ask that you check the faq and do a search first.

One of the reasons being that this a community. A place for both the exchange of information and the dissemination of ideas, opinions etc. etc. It's very difficult to maintain that community spirit when a large proportion of your time is spent reading the same questions and answers over and over.

In addition, plenty of people on here that have taken the time and trouble to read the manual, read the forum and learn about their devices, have dialup connections, either fixed or mobile. And whilst taking advantage of their knowledge and extreme generostiy you are also costing them money by making them download unnecessary questions.

So, rather than biting the hand that feeds you by dissing those that answer your questions, try learning some bloody manners and do a search first!

Couldn't agree more! Please just respect the forum rules and the veterans/elders wanting to maintain a clean and informative forum. 😊

I am and am always grateful for the answers but there is no need to be so bitter about it. I wouldnt blame anyone if there isnt any replies. I was using my phone to key in the questions outside the shop which was waiting for my confirmation for the order so i needed a quick one....i dun think there is anything wrong with that...is it? I wasnt even rude with my replies....just making a point so please dun tell me to mind my manners even before looking yourself into a mirror. Lets be adult ok?

I think Bassey's reply was more generally directed, and it's easy to get pissed off when there's people who never give a damn about other people or forum rules... - Which is rude in itself.

And even though you might feel that your case is exceptional, just imagine what this forum would look like if everyone just popped in asking the same question over and over again..

*EDIT*
Didn't notice your last reply.. No problem mate, all is forgiven I'm sure. 😊
And you didn't act especially rude at all, but we're faced with rude "newbies" all time, so I hope you can see our position..

Cheers

lol....hehe......Thanks again guys....next time round i should have some better and challenging questions then....lol....Cheers!
