Unrealplayer - improvements for future versions?

I believe Unrealplayer to be one of the (quite few) pieces of code out there that is really worth the money (Worldmate and 12IM ranks up there too).

To make a cool piece even cooler, I would like to see following improvemetns in the future:

- MUCH less battery comsumption
- automatic tagging like fx. MusicMatch optimized for the p800 screen
- display cover art
- voice controlled (using magic word)
- wma and ogg support
- recorder option taking full advantage of your duo stick

What did I forget?

The problem is that this "fine piece" of software you people describe above, really messed my P800. After installing it ir Remote never worked again (it just stacks on the device selection screen) and the only way to make my phone work as before was to format it and reinstalling everything!
Real awful and I really liked unreal player! If they could only make some decent programming and installation could be done without harming other applications it would be fine, but at the moment for me: "Unreal player NO THANKS"

I dunno with you guys but i find it to be stable. The demo version has been working ok for me for awhile now. Now if only i can purchase this from othr sellers aside from Handango 😞

I have the latest 1.2.1 and it only has one problem:

When you have it on and then you put the flip up, the lights go out and you cant bring them back on. Solution: Exit unreal player to fix this.

This happens when you have lights set to auto.

I have the same problem with Katsj, my Ir Remote 0.9 doesn't work after installing UnReal Player 1.2. Also this Unreal makes the phone backlight off, I must set it On again in Control Panel mode.

Does the new version 1.2.1 solve this problem?

I didn't know about the Ir Remote thing as I am not using it.

For the backlight issue, as MuzikFreakah writes, upgrading to 1.2.1 will improve the situation, as it seems that you can bring the light back simply by exiting Unrealplayer and restarting it again! The funny thing is that I don't lose the light everytime I do "flip up". Weird.

With the previous version I had to restart my p800 and go to settings and put lights back on, as it was set to "off".

Other than that I find the player very stable.

My Irremote prob's the same as your, and I also did like that. But It still not worked. Anyway, I just upgraded my firmware to R2F and IRremote works fine now. I don't want to install Unreal Player until I can make sure it does not harm other softwares.

@VTQ

There's a file called irremote.dat in ur c:\system\data when u uninstall this 1 stays behind delete it manual and then reinstall it thats how i got it to work again without any prob 2 other apps

Unreal player 1.3 has just been released. Check it out with Handango. It has addressed some of the bugs you guys were mentioning 😊
