Screensaver API for P800

Hi,
does anyone know how to create a screensaver for P800? Is there a special interface required, or is just a normal app/exe to be placed somewhere?

I'd like to write a screensaver as a true Symbian app. Can I install my app so that it will recognised as a screensaver by the control panel (section 'Display'😉?

On the other side, I wonder where to place the animated GIFs I found on the web (google -> search for P800 screensaver).

Thanks, Mark

what's an API? i read that news about ericcson releasing their camara API, but not any video recording one but i never understood what it was

API stands for Application Programming interface.Defines how to access a software-based service. An API is a published specification that describes how other software programs can access the functions of an automated service.Basicaly,if you aren't a developer, you don't need do worry about API's 😃
