i just discovered this by total fluke, i linked my phone to my infra red hub, and started using the updated opera browser, when i clicked on home page, it loaded very fast, but with no live connection, so i thought it was a stored page, after around 5 other pages, i noticed that it was using the broadband connection of my pc to view these pages on my phone,
i've done a search on this incase someone else has posted similar but those posts are just about using the phone as a modem itself, and not using the pc's modem like this one
i know this can be done via bluetooth, but i didn't think it was possible on irda

How is this possible via bluetooth? Can you tell me how to browse sharing my adsl connection at home via bluetooth? (Using a MAC G4 powerbook with airport extreme/bluetooth).
TIA

I'm not sure how it's done on a Mac. On my PC, I create a serial connection between the phone and bluetooth adapter. Then I simply go into Opera (or any program that uses GPRS like IM+) and surf on! search the forum if you can't get it to work, been discussed so many times, on Nokia forum too.
yes, mainly on the nokia 7650 forum, there's been lots of talk on this
