Just a quickie. can someone pls tell me how to use an mp3 file as my ringtone on the p800. from what i've tried, only wavs are displayed for use as as a ringtone.
any pointers would be more than welcome. (forgive me if this question has been asked b4 but i could not find the answer anywhere)
peace
I'll forgive you, but this has been asked before 😃
It's impossible to use MP3's as a ringtone. You have to convert the files to wav first if you want to use them as a ringtone! Perhaps in a new firmware version (or the P810 😃)
Thx 4 that. its what i thought.
Whilst i'm on the subject do u know how to extend the ringtone ring. as it stands the ringtone using wav does not ring for long enuff.
peace

You can use a wav editor to double (repeat) the wav. Of course, that takes up double the memory!
If you convert an MP3 song to WAV, move it to the phone and use it as your clock alarm, it will just play the first 10 seconds or so. The P800 doesn't play the full song (that was the idea of course). Anyone have the problem or have find a solution ?
