Hi I had install file " Thai.gdr " in to my P800 , it's locate in c:/system/fonts
and now i can't delete it, even i tried to change the name but it's still not working. It's say that "file is in use"

Please is their anyway to remove this file .. rather than format c:

Should be. First try a reboot, if it still says "in use", use a file manager to check if the attributes of the file is set to "read only". -If so, uncheck the "read only" box and try to delete it.

If you still cannot delete it I suppose a format is your only solution.(jogdial up * down down * down *).

well the attribute is set as modify...
and i try to reboot so many times but it's still say in use..
Is there any otherways rather than format c:

Well, is the file you're trying to delete associated with any other files? You might also want to try Tracker(or any other task manager) to kill the Applications menu and any other possible app running.. I'm running out of ideas here.. 😊

Well is a fonts file i don't know where is associated .. SO sad I don't want to format it .. Anyway Thankyou very much Raven

U could try this look at my post all the way down

Since most of the files or not locked during this stage

Trying to think logically (not easy on a Friday) if it's something you've put on there then "hopefully" it is being used by a third party app, or at least not one of the default apps that loads automatically from the ROM on startup like "applications" or "phone".

AND, if it is in use immeadiately after you've restarted the phone, then it could be that the app that is referencing (and locking) the file is being autostarted by tracker or HandyDay or such like.

So how about having a look in the above apps start-up files, removing any entries from them, rebooting the phone and then give it a go following Raven's tips abaove?

Indeed! Can't wait to throw back "a few" frosty ones.. :bday:

use a PC File Manager
got to the fonts directory
rename it

restart your phone.
delete the file you want

rename the folder again to fonts

restart your phone again

Voila!!

Well i had no choice, i even tried Onsi's idea but it's wont work. So i do the hard format.. with no choice.. :x
anyway Thankyou very much you guys..
