Has anyone in India tried connecting the 7650 to the internet using the regular dialup ISP? I followed the thread that sanjay had started and it didn't seem to work for me. Does the ISP have to have this feature enabled or something to enable mobiles to access the internet or will any regualr dial up ISP work?

Yes. People have been connecting to Dialup in India without any problems. Any ISP should be fine.
What kind of error are u getting whenu try to connect?
Due to older switching system of some operators try the following option
data bearer : GSM
prompt password :no
authenticatiom: normal
gateway IP addresss 0.0.0.0
data call type: *** Try Analogue
maximum data speed: *** Try Auto/ 9600
A detail of error message would be helpful

Thanks. will try and see if this works. Apparently, I realized that there is some crack block set up on my ISP account to prevent other number from accessing it. I tried adding my mobile number, but it woudn't take 0 digits 😊, Will try to unsubscribe from it and try connecting.

I tried that, and it doesn't seem to work. It says, connecting to server and then the call dies in 20 secs. Once it gave me an error saying Error Code
" -291" or something.

Hi man this is Deepak from Delhi ( india ). 7650 can connect to the net using dial-up. i use webviewer as the HTML browser and connect using dial -up. My mobile number is 9810090090. And hey CJ99 , Sanjay is my friend ( i mean a friend i made through this forum ) but he is not in INdia right now.

Thanks for the reply? Can you post the settings on your phone? What do you enter as the dial up number? Do you prefx 011 to it? Can you post the screenshots so I can try it? It would be a great help man.
