Mind, A day and a half... maybe more if i don't play with the phone...
What's you?

mine lasts 4 hours when using infra red and web browsing and well, just serious usage of the phone, on stand by mode... well i've played with it every night to use up all it's battery to recharge that following night to see how long it lasts on stand by, not that much longer i don't think as i'm using the matrix screen saver which is power consuming i'm sure
Using it for two days, calls, text, email web browsing etc, playing games and using it for listening to music to and from work, it went down to 58%. I have found the battery superb, unlike a lot out there!
Comparison, i charged the nec e606 for 12hours, it lasted 1 with downloading 8 videos.
On average my battery last 3 days with some 20 calls, 10 SMS, some WAP browsing plus usage of Handy days every day.
The battery last litte more than 2 days if I listen to OggPlay on the road for 1 hour per day.
heavy texting... several calls... NO screensaver... DONT play games... DONT listen to mp3s... MY FREAKIN BATT ONLY LASTS FOR A DIDLY DAY SQUAT!!!! :x :x :x
how the f@*k do I make the batt last longer? upon purchasing the unit, how many hours did you initial charge the batt? thanks m8s! 😃
I charged for 17hrs when I first got it and I get 3-4 days depending on usage. Though the general consensus seems to be that the best way to get good battery life is to fully charge the phone, drain it all the way down, charge it all the way up again etc. 3-4 times over.
You can do this at any point, not just the first time around.
mine lasts 4 days on standby and if used it will last a day and a 1/2 (heavy usage)
when u get the phone u gotta charge it for 16hrs before u even touch it or u completly f**k up the batt
it should be okay if you regularly discharge the whole battery
I concur on the long-lifers -- I can get up to 3 days and I use it REALLY heavily -- alarm clock, diary (which is a busy one), 40-50 SMS per day plus voice calls & bluetooth connection, backlight "always on".
As a caveat, if I go somewhere without a good network, or am ROAMing, then battery life reduces rapidly. If I keep the [flip-less] phone in a pocket, forcing the screen on all the time, then that hits the battery too.
Playing incessantly with the camera is also not good for the battery.
When I first charged the phone up I probably only did it for 4 hours. The cell died a couple of days later, so I let it run flat, then charged overnight. Now I have no problems.
:bday:
My battery lasts an average of 3-4 days, but more like 2-3 when using my mp3 player..
I got into the habit of using file manager to close any open apps, like the videocam, mp3 player, etc and it works quite well.
After the latest firmware upgrade (R2F), it seems to last a leetle bit longer - but I think my brain is lying to me 😃
I've managed 5 days on light usage (couple of calls and SMS' a day) but then with bluetooth running in an office with about 30 other bluetooth phones with tracker running constantly I can get as little as 4 hours and end up having to run to the car park to put it on charge just to last the afternoon. Not complaining though, my IPAQ was just as bad and I didn't use it as much as I use the P800.
I do charge my P800 each night.
I have the BT and IR constantly on, I have quiet a light usage of the phone. It may be that I don't charge it during the week-end, and int that cas, I end up with around 30% left.
2 month ago, I did went on holiday 1 week. I did forgot to switch off my phone. It was in normal mode, but the SIM card in it wasn't my usual one, so nobody did call me. After coming home after 9 days, the phone was still at a little more thant 30%.
So my standby time is excellent. And I do consider than 2/3 days of normal usage for such a phone is very good. I was still not able to drain it fully in 1 day. I have to say, I don't use Mp3 (yet).
I only charged mine for 4 hours... my batt is a week and a half old... would that explain as to why my batt is only good for a day?
what could I do to remedy this? should I completely drain the batt then initial charge it for 16 hours? PLS HELP!!!!
That should help. Its how i did mine.
Personally I find the P800 has one of the best battery life of any PDA/Fone out there. I used to own an Ipaq and man it really drains up the battery really fast. As for my P800, the battery life usually lasts 3 to 4 days on regular usage (50 texts a day, 3 to 4 calls, an hour of mp3). So overall I am very satisfied with its performance 😊
I did some testing and found out that my battery last 3 days with normal use. 4 to 5 sms, and 15 min + chat pr day. It's not good enought compared to what the phons should be able to perform.
A month ago i had to reset the phone and build it up again. The phon did at most last 4 to 5 hours. Some software was eating up the battery, i tried to uninstall all progs with out any luck. First when i formatted internal mem, the problem was gone.. So if you have probems with the battery capasitet, try that. 😮
Hi all
My phone has work well with battery life about 2-3 days sine I bought it. I installed tracker for a few days ago day and everything worked fine for a coupple of days.
The suddenly one day the battery capacity went down to 4-5 hours.
I have tried more or less everything (removing application etc.) with no luck. Still have not tried reformatting, though. I have clearly not changed my behaviour.
It must be some software that has started to burn battery capacity. I wonder what?
Stefan
I was lucky to get half a day from my battery after originally charging for the 16 hours before use. Took it back to the dealer who told me to turn off the cell and area info options...have got 2-3 days out of the battery ever since!
I had a problem one day when my bettery was dropping power, i found i had left the light set to on by accident! 😮ops:
I turned of the cell and area info (thanks for the info). It looks like the capacity increased from dropping 20% per hour to 10% per hour.
It still must be something else that is burning capacity.
It I get the time I will try the full reset.
Stefan
how do you turn the cell and area info off? untick it in messaging accounts? tnx

Yes/stefan
I get over 2 weeks out of my battery.
I discovered that GPRS was slaughtering battery life and as I don't use it I turned it off and disabled it.
I recently spent 2 weeks in Canada, charged it up when I left and charged it up again when I returned. It was used occasionally whilst there and my daughter loves playing the MP3s on it.
Look at this thread for further information
Doing a test, started at 12.48.
Launched Gaya, VR Pool, Stratigic assault, unreal player, have gprs on but not connected with no time out, powersave off and light always on. See how long it lasts!
BTW: everything launched while on the cradle
5 min and its down to 98%!
After 4 hours it was at 48%
5 hours and its 23% so it does accelerate. hmmm
Died at 7pm exactly. Now for a full charge and see how long it lasts without GPRS and Bluetooth, just makling calls and text. 😃
I cant seem to access the link posted above... how do we turn off the GPRS thing? please guide to it please... thanks so much in advance!
Don't know why you can't access the link as it is on a public forum.
However the way that I disabled GPRS was to go into control panel, Connections and then Internet accounts and deleted the GPRS entry. I then went onto the Other tab and set the Preferred mod to GSM only. This is probably not the best way but as I have no intention of using GPRS I just deleted everything that I could find that had anything to do with it.
I have set up a GSM dialup that I very occasionally use if I desperatly need some information whilst on the move, otherwise I use ny notebook to access the net.
Battery Life? around 2 days...
