i was just installing the psiloc color app thing (version 0.80) and it hangs when i start up my phone, after prompting for pin, then phone lock code, it then beeps looking for a network and then hangs, can i get it flashed for free from a SE service center?

oh god, thank god the internal memory reformatting code worked, it said that the internal file system was corrupted and needed to be reformatted, and so i just reformatted it, geez, i must have soiled myself 20 times in the last 10 minutse, i only got this phone on tuesday and have no clue as to where my nearest sony ericsson service center is if i needed it

Mine did that internal file system is corrupt thing too, it would startup with the phone on, off flight mode screen then nothing, although you could get the shutdown options screen, then it reformated itself, good job i back it up every 7 days!

my back up doesn't work, the pc says it's not connected when it says that the usb cradle has detected the phone on com port 7, but i just sent all my contacts via bluetooth from the 7650 to the p800 and it was pretty fast, i had the OTA settings of mms, gprs and wap csd on the saved so i just had to send them to my phone, it wasn't that much trouble, although i sure did shit myself

Have you got the modem software installed aswell? that stops the sync software working if its running. Glad you got everything back tho! 😃

the dial up network for the phone doesn't even work either, it tries to search for a phone but doesn't find one,

the only possibility is that the com port is in use because there's only 3-4 which gets split up and i think that my com 7 could be in use by something else, but i disabled the infra red, and my dial up modem and still tried it but it didn't work still, and my adsl modem isn't in that section in the device manager,

but yeah, at least it's back to normal now, stupic psiloc

You also need to make sure you are connecting your phone to the SAME USB port you used when you installed and ran the PC software and recognised the phone. If I plug my cradle into another USB port, it won't connect to it, and instead Windows says it has found new hardware and is searching for a driver. WHen I return the cradle to the original USB port, it works like a charm.

yup, i've only plugged it into one of the usb ports since and i'm using 1.51of the pc suite, still nothing though 😞
