subject says it all, my comunicator software just can seem to see com2...i go to device manager and see com2 there with no problems/coflicts but when i try to connect my 9210 to pc i choose properties from connection settings and cant see com2, only com1 is available

and nuthing else, weird coz a few weeks back i just backedup my comunicator.
All i did was to install a few CDR burning software
Does it work in com 1?
Probably there is a setting in pc suite where you go and chenge the port sett up...
Just the other day I was upgrading to XP pro (I had home edition earlier) and upgraded also the PcSuite. I had to re-install a lot of apps at the same time and at the end I found out that the PcSuite didn't connect to the 9210. No conflicts or anything on the pc, but just didn't get the connection. In my case the software saw the com-ports, so this is not the situation of our guest here. I tried everything uninstalling, re-installing, installing the old PcSuite version back, tried to locate some of the old dll's, just everything I could think of, and in the end I also tried to install and connect the whole thing onto another computer just to see is the cable+cradle was working. Didn't work with the other pc either. I was getting really desperate until I did something I should have done right in the beginning. I opened the device and realized the PDA had crasched! 😮 So naturally there was no connection. After a boot, everything worked instantly again.
The lesson: check the simple things first. I never seem to get this one right 😃
(During this procedure I also thought I had lost my mouse at some point. It stopped responding all of a sudden. I tried everything again, even re-installed the whole damn OS just to be sure all the drivers were there. Nothing helped. Until I realized the batteries in the wireless mouse had suddendly run empty...)

or maybe u have a conflict w ur modem or sumthn! 😉
